Day 1 :

Chandigarh to Kasauli

Morning: Departure: Start early from Chandigarh. You can either drive or take a bus to Dharampur, which is around 55 km from Chandigarh (approximately 1.5 hours by road). Breakfast: Have breakfast en route at a local dhaba or cafe in Dharampur. Mid-Morning: Begin the Hike: Start your hike from Dharampur to Kasauli. The trail is about 10 km and will take around 4-5 hours, depending on your pace. Trail Highlights: Enjoy the lush greenery, pine forests, and panoramic views as you ascend towards Kasauli. Keep an eye out for birds and small wildlife. Afternoon: Arrive in Kasauli: Reach Kasauli by afternoon. Lunch: Check into your hotel/homestay, freshen up, and have lunch. Relaxation: Rest and explore the nearby area around your accommodation. Evening: Sunset at Sunset Point: Visit Sunset Point to catch a breathtaking view of the sun setting behind the hills. Dinner: Enjoy a relaxed dinner at a local restaurant or your accommodation.

Day 2 :

Explore Kasauli

Morning: Sunrise at Monkey Point: Start your day early with a short hike to Monkey Point, the highest point in Kasauli, to watch the sunrise. You’ll get panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and the Sutlej River. Breakfast: Return to your accommodation for breakfast. Mid-Morning: Gilbert Trail: Hike along the Gilbert Trail, a scenic path through dense forests. It’s a peaceful walk with chances to spot a variety of birds. Explore Local Attractions: Visit Kasauli’s landmarks, such as the Christ Church, built in the 19th century, and the Kasauli Brewery, one of the oldest distilleries in Asia. Afternoon: Lunch: Enjoy lunch at a local café or back at your accommodation. Relax or Stroll in the Mall Road: Spend some leisurely time strolling through Mall Road, where you can shop for souvenirs, and enjoy the local cuisine. Evening: Nature Walk: Take a short evening walk in the woods around Kasauli or simply relax. Dinner: Dinner at a local restaurant or your accommodation

Day 3 :

Kasauli to Chandigarh

Morning: Breakfast: Have an early breakfast and check out from your accommodation. Hike Down to Dharampur: Begin your hike back to Dharampur. It will take around 3-4 hours to descend. Mid-Morning to Afternoon: Lunch in Dharampur: Enjoy a nice meal in Dharampur before catching your ride back to Chandigarh. Return to Chandigarh: Drive or take a bus back to Chandigarh. You should reach by late afternoon. Optional Tips: Packing Essentials: Carry a small backpack with essentials like water, snacks, sunscreen, a hat, and a first-aid kit. Footwear: Wear sturdy, comfortable hiking shoes. Clothing: Layer your clothing as mornings and evenings can be cool, while afternoons may be warm.
